María de los Angeles Rivera, CPA

Tax Partner has over twenty three years of tax experience; she is responsible for the administrative aspects of the tax department and coordinates the technical trainings of the tax professionals. Mrs. Rivera is also responsible for the publication of the firm’s bi-monthly newsletter. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and an active member of the Tax Committee of the Puerto Rico Chamber of Commerce and participates in the Continued State Educational Program of the Puerto Rico State Society of Certified Public Accountants. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Rivera worked for two international accounting firms.

She is a summa cum laude graduate and holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a major in accounting from Catholic University of Puerto Rico. She also earned a master’s degree in professional accountancy with a major in taxation from the University of Texas at Austin.
